INSURANCE FREE: We employ a direct care model and do not participate with, bill to or communicate with any health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. For patients with insurance, you are able to use your benefits for pathology, laboratory work, and prescriptions.

REIMBURSEMENT: Upon request, we can provide you with a coded receipt to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. We cannot predict or guarantee reimbursement - please check with your insurance company regarding reimbursement rules. By law, Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Supplements, Tricare or other government insurance program beneficiaries cannot submit for reimbursement.

BOOKING: All appointment bookings as well as changes and cancellations must be done through our convenient, online system.

PAYMENT: Payment is due in full at time of services. A credit card on file is required to book. We accept cash, debit cards, Visa, Discover and MasterCard . You may use your HSA and FSA card for medically necessary services in line with your administrator’s guidelines.

PRICING: Refer to our Pricing page for full pricing. For medical visits, we employ time-based billing. Procedures, cosmetic services and administrative work have separate fees. Please note pathology and labs are provided by third party providers and incur additional costs - you may use your insurance for these services.

APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING: Appointments are based on time. Our Pricing page provides examples for reference. Skin cancer screenings and hair loss consultations each require 30 minute minimum visits and additional issues will not be addressed during these visits. If your appointment needs extend beyond your booked appointment time, we will be happy to extend your appointment as time permits, priced at the higher time slot used. All cosmetic procedures require an initial cosmetic consultation visit. Discussion of medical or cosmetic issues during an appointment for a procedure will incur a visit cost.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Our goal at Brooklyn Dermatology is to provide you with exceptional care in a timely fashion. This means that we do not double book our appointment slots; rather, we block your entire appointment time to allow you to have individualized time with our doctor. We require 48-hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling for all appointments without exception. Failure to do so or missing an appointment will incur a non-refundable fee ($100 for medical appointments or cosmetic consults, $200 for medical appointments > 30 mins, $200 for cosmetic appointments).
